Avoiding Bridezilla
As little girls, most of us walked our dolls down the isle, and dreamt of ridiculous, outrageous ways that Prince Charming would propose. This is why wedding days are some of the most exciting ones you'll have!
Men on the other hand think of one thing… BRIDEZILLA!
So how do we get exactly what we've always wanted, without turning green and growing little horns?
Here are 5 tips to ensure that your day is everything you’ve ever dreamt of and more.
1. Plan, plan, plan! Some people think that if they ignore something for long enough, it will plan itself! Unfortunately that little fairy won’t clean your house either; but I’m with you on wishing it would.
2. While your mum may be your best friend and “they’ve done it all before…” this is you and your partners day, so make it yours!
3. Have a budget at the start and STICK TO IT! While it can be tempting to splash out, this is one of the main things that couples will disagree about! This is why it can be great having a wedding planner. With their connections, you’ll get interesting quirky things that you never knew about, at a lower rate then you would normally. They will keep your budget on track and will have the time to run around and find the best prices, as well as interesting, cool ideas you'd never thought about! Let them have the stress while you focus on that new ring!
4. Make a scrapbook with anything you see and LOVE! Pinterest is also a great way to get inspiration! Check out ours at http://pinterest.com/planitroxie/!
5. Remember that sometimes things don’t work, and we can’t have 3 Indian elephants carrying you down the aisle; but with the help of great people, great things can happen!
Remember why you're getting married, and try to include that person in the planning as much as you can. Weddings are about 2 people who love each other; he didn’t propose to Bridezilla did he now?
