Balloons Rocked The Pier
Well we have survived our first major childrens event AND raised money for the Geelong Hospital!
We had great activities + AMAZING entertainment from the Mik Maks, the Funky Mummies and Dazzling Dan the Magician man!
The funny thing that caught my eye however, was that even with all these great activities and entertainment, one of the main winners were the balloons!
In particular it was the lines for the balloon sculptures that gave it away!
After the event we were immediatley talking about the girls who were just incredible; continuously creating them out of thin air!
I remembered back to when I was younger, + had a book on how to make them; but with a fear of popping plastic I never became very good.
It was then that Roxie told us of her attempt to have her Bay FM team become incredible balloon animal artists; this didn't quite evetuate for some reason...
But it gets you thinking about children, and the simplistic ways in which they are occupied.
It wasn't even the balloons that were manipulated into various shapes and animals that were the most important; it was the simple Bay FM helium balloons that caused the most giref - when they were let go and then rose to the roof.
You have to admire children's ability to find complete happiness from a balloon; and of course a great event can help!
